Museum architecture is a spiritual home of a different kind in modern culture. It provides a safe and decent place for artefacts and works of art to be housed and displayed. It provides the public with a place to wander and think. It also makes museums a model for the development of social civilization and national culture.
The ocean reef and the ocean light inspire the building design. The centre seems broken and divided by the transmitted light beam, forming a trench-like link block surface. The building centre is a giant transparent space surrounded by glass, just like a “space-time capsule” illuminated by a light beam. The actual scene of marine archaeology is fixed, and the seemingly broken space modules around become the best carrier for a “package” exhibition. Excellent content and engaging experiences take place here.
The building blocks are like underwater reefs washed away by time and discovered by a beam of light, solid and stable but with a hidden mysterious charm, like marine archaeology, constantly exploring and discovering the mysterious locations under the sea full of human civilisation.
